Thanks so much for the insights. I'm guilty myself of the typewriter font. Big help with the bios too. Great article.

Good stuff. The first in particular caught my attention--I can't even put a number on how many submissions I get done up in ridiculous fonts. And colors. Yes, colors.

And when I read a "cute" bio, I'm immediately turned off by that writer's piece before I've even read it. Especially a bio consisting mostly of factoids about the writer's pets. Stop it!
